I grew up in a small town in Maine, called South Berwick. My musical journey started off at the local public school when I was forced to take a guitar class in seventh grade. I had recently been given a bass guitar and did not want anything to do with the six string. My teacher told me that if I gave the guitar 2 weeks and still didn't want to play it, then I could bring my bass in for the rest of the class.

Well, needless to say, I wrote my first little diddy those first two weeks and I was hooked. The Lord developed a passion for music and writing songs. I remember playing my first show in freshman year of High School. It was at a coffee house and I was extremely nervous. Once that show was done and the night was over I realized that this is what I want to do. Back then my motives for playing music were a little different from what they are now. I am grateful for that as well. As I have matured, so has the music.

High school came and went and the more I got serious about the Lord, the more I loved music. Jesus Christ has given me a hope beyond what I can comprehend. Often times I lose sight of that greatness, and what comes from those moments are songs.... A lot of my writing has come from the low points in life where I realize how far away I have come from the Love of Christ. The beautiful thing is, nothing can separate us from His love. Nothing.

My life has been far from perfect, and there have been many times where darkness has flooded my heart. However, there has never been a moment in my life where God has not intervened in the dark and brought forth the light of hope. That hope is Jesus Christ who died for this world. For me. I say this because the gospel of Jesus Christ drives the songs that are written. In the times of darkness there is hope; there is hope beyond understanding. These lessons I have learned through some hard experiences. I thank the Lord for each one of them. Circumstances like these have kept me up at night and have allowed me to etch my heart into songs that have been able to encourage hearts that listen. I praise the Lord for that!

I am just an everyday guy walking this journey of a life. I am looking to write honest songs about honest situations that everyday people face. It’s more then just music and lyrics that I want to capture. It is about people’s walk of life. I pray that as you listen in on these songs that you will be encouraged! I am excited to be able to share my heart in this way. These songs are just a story of checkpoints in my life where I have had to turn away and look up at the bright hope there is in Christ. God bless and enjoy! And please connect with me via the contact page. I would love to hear from you my friends.
