Toy Soldiers
Toy Soldiers
Toy Soldiers is a lively, hard-working bunch who spent most of the last year playing 120+ shows across the east coast and southern U.S. tearing through everything from tiny dive bars to festival stages to theaters with a brand of soulful rock n' roll music that takes it's roots, puts it in a blender and pours out that good old feeling made for today. They just completed their second full-length studio album, “The Maybe Boys” with producer Bill Moriarty (Dr. Dog, Man Man) looking to be released in spring 2013. They made appearances at Rachael Ray’s House Party at SXSW in 2012, CMJ, XPoNential Music Festival and have shared the stage with notable acts such as Dr. Dog, The Felice Brothers, The Walkmen, Fitz and the Tantrums, Jonny Corndawg, J. Roddy Walston and The Business and many more. USA Today called Toy Soldiers the “Top Band to Watch in 2013”.
From it's beginning as a duo started by Ron Gallo in 2007, to it's era of fluctuating cast of players and it's eventual growth into a solid 5-piece band consisting of Gallo (lead vocals, guitar), Dominic Billett (drums), Bill McCloskey (bass), Matt Kelly (guitar), and Luke Leidy (keys), Toy Soldiers love a good song and dance with no pretense and no wall between the band and audience (literally, as members often times end up in the crowd).
Their first record, "Whisper Down the Lane" was described by WXPN’s Bruce Warren as a "gritty, dirty collection of liquor-fueled Americana music. Shifting flawlessly from roots, to blues, to country, to rockabilly…an undeniable barn-burner". Their follow-up self-produced "Get Through the Time" EP was a look into the more pensive and heartfelt side of the songwriting. While, their most recent release, a split EP with good friend/Nashville artist Jordan Hull, embraces the communal, live aspect of the band (having been recorded all live in Nashville in April 2011).
Toy Soldiers are in this for the long haul and have no intention of slowing their roll as they move ahead into the next year with a new record and tireless touring plans to spread the music and inevitable good times.

Slackwater News
Slackwater News
With their second EP "Graveyard Mates" the Slackwater News lets fly another batch of restless songs that walk that thin line between indie-rock and freak-folk; memorable for their melodies, sweet in their harmonies, and cleverly arresting in their lyrics.

The group-Matt Blank (drums), JJ Gammache (bass, vocals), Matt Johnson (guitar), Daniel Ramirez (organ/piano/keyboards), and Dan Zdilla (vocal
s, guitar)-proudly hails from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where a healthy modern arts and music community thrive alongside badly lit retail outlets, tourist buffets, and horse-drawn agriculture.

Their debut disc, "All You Creatures" earned significant regional notice as well as airplay on WXPN and other radio outlets in 2010. It drew comparisons to the likes of Dr. Dog, The Black Keys, Band of Bees, Spoon, Avett Brothers, Lumineers, and The Beatles.

This time around the group presents six songs about things like international phone calls, sharing house with polite ghosts, the oddly comforting certainty of entropy, and the equally comforting notion of spending that eternity in the ground with someone you love. "Graveyard Mates" is available for physical and digital sale on Halloween 2012.
Cozy Galaxies
Cozy Galaxies
"Cozy Galaxies perfectly describes the sound and feel of this Philly rock band. It's like curling up next to the fire or going on a psychedelic mind trip, but all while being wrapped up in a Snuggie." -Philly.com
