Darry Miller & The Veil
Darry Miller & The Veil
From an early age, Darry Miller’s life has been filled with music. His mom took him to his dad’s gigs as a baby and when he got his first drum set at three, he showed an intuitive ability to play. It wasn’t long before he was sitting in with the band, cutting his teeth on rock and roll.
As he got older, he began playing around with digital recording equipment and spent his formative years alone in the basement with it, experimenting with the layering of sounds, tones, harmonies and beats, igniting a true passion for music and an understanding of how powerful it can be.
The solitude Darry found in his basement while recording those first songs lent an intimacy to his lyrics then that he carries through to his songs today. Trying to understand life, love, loss and ambitions are a constant theme and are easily related to by his growing fan base. That fan base started when he passed some demos around to his friends at school and continues to expand as more people are turned on to his unique combination of pop, funk, blues and Americana.
In 2009, Darry signed with the independent label Ripple Creative Records and now tours with several very talented band members: Mike Elliot, Alan Greiner, Dylan Madar, and Derek Jenkins.
Kate Faust
For years now, the chameleon that is Kate Faust has been lighting up the Philadelphia music scene with her incredible vocal presence. Finally, she has stepped out on her own with her debut EP, Crucial Companion. Her brand of electro-pop draws on the sounds of Bjork and Little Dragon. Faust makes good on these influences and expands on them, crafting a sound all her own as she meshes her stunning vocals with driving beats and beautiful harmonic textures. Her songs reach a level of intimacy that can't help but draw in the listener, as her tender and sensual voice entice the imagination.

Key tracks would be the incredibly endearing and catchy first track "Bring on the Healing," with the arresting and ethereal, "Crucial Companion" not far behind. To catch the surprising depth and soulfulness of Faust's voice, be sure to listen to "Heartbeat."

With this strong debut, as well as a new EP in the works, Faust is an artist to keep on your radar.
Last Scene In Reno
Last Scene In Reno
Hailing from Lancaster, PA, these four friends are on a mission to
create infectious songs with their catchy hooks, soaring guitars, and
one of the tightest drum/bass rhythm sections around. In May of 2012,
Last Scene in Reno released their debut EP, “You Act As If I Have a
Choice”, which is available on iTunes:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/you-act-as-if-i-have-a-choice-ep/id520632737

"'You Act As If I Have A Choice' is a fine example of all the things
that people love about pop-punk. Fine drumming? Check. Gang vocals?
Check. Half-tempo, final choruses? Check. Vocal harmonies? Check.
Dueling vocals? Check. It’s all there in fine style. Overall, Last
Scene in Reno has crafted an EP that will define your summer, and take
you back to your high school glory days. It’s a fine piece of work
that begs for repeated listens, and evokes anticipation for more music
from these guys. You can hear their passion for what they do with
every note; something that many bands and novelty mainstream acts lack
these days" - Robbie Goldovich, hercampus.com/ (Apr 15, 2012)
